Rationalization of polling stations: DC Doda discusses proposals of Political Parties

DM also reviews digitisation of jamabandies preparedness for ensuing digital week

Doda : Deputy Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma Thursday convened a daylong meeting with the key functionaries of the revenue department to discuss the proposals/ suggestions/ representations submitted by political parties regarding rationalization of polling stations.
Besides, he took appraisal of digitisation of Jamabandies and reviewed the preparedness for the ensuing Digital Week.
The DC, while reviewing the latest progress of digitisation of Jamabandies tehsil wise, directed the Tehsildars to mobilise the resources at their disposal to achieve the target before the set deadline.
Besides, he asked to initiate preparation of passbooks for at least one village in each Tehsil by tomorrow to distribute the same to the land owners during the ensuing “Digital Week” program.
With regard to proposals submitted by political parties for creation of new polling stations, the DC directed the Tehsildars to ensure quality disposal of the representations as per ECI guidelines.
Further, he asked them to submit rational justification in support of their proposals which will be further submitted to the competent authority for approval.
Meanwhile, the DC also apprised the meeting about ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program of the Govt and asked all the SDMs and Tehsildars to convene regular meetings with the functionaries of concerned departments in their respective areas and generate mass awareness about the program so that it gets a huge success across the district.
Among others present in the meeting were ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, Dy DEO Doda, ACR Doda, all SDMs and Tehsildars, ENT and other concerned staff members on the revenue section of the DC office.
