DDC Shopian inspects ongoing developmental works, progress of Macadamization

Shopian : The District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Thursday accompanied by Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana visited and inspected Transit Accommodation Site Sheikhpora and directed the executing agencies to speed up the pace of ongoing developmental works and complete it within the fixed timeline.
The work for accommodation of migrants is being constructed at a sanctioned cost of 2304 lacs consisting of 12 blocks housing 192 flats.
Later, DDC paid a surprise visit to check the status of ongoing widening & Upgradation works of Shopian- Bijbehara road and exhorted upon the concerned executing agencies to ensure timely completion of the macadamisation work to facilitate the people.
It was intimated that the widening and upgradation of Shopian – Bijbehara road has been taken up for execution at an estimated cost of 4893 lacs.
DDC keenly inspected the quality of the macadamization works on the road. He emphasized upon the executing agencies to carry out the work as per the guidelines and ensure expeditious completion of the macadamisation work.
The DDC was assured by R&B authorities that the widening / upgradation work on the road shall be completed within stipulated time.
Xen R&B, Exn PHE and other concerned officers also accompanied the DDC during the visit.
