DC Srinagar reviews preparations for Har Ghar Tiranga Prog

DM also finalises activity plan for celebration of Digital J&K Week-2022

Srinagar : In order to finalise the preparations and plan of activities for celebrations of Har Ghar Tiranga to mark the 75th Independence day under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Thursday chaired a meeting of Zonal & District Officers of all the Departments here at Banquet Hall.
Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Syed Haneef Balkhi and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Faz Lul Haseeb, the meeting was among others attended by Programme Officer, ICDS, Joint Director Planning, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, District Panchayat Officer, Tehsildars, Lead District Manager and all other Zonal and Sectoral Officers were present in the meeting.
The meeting held a detailed deliberation on effective and expeditious implementation of set out modalities for Har Ghar Tiranga initiative in the District.
At the outset, the DC said the programme, which is being held from August 11 to August 17, 2022, is aimed at invoking a feeling of patriotism among the citizens and promoting a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence.
The DC stressed upon the Officers to ensure all necessary arrangements to reach out the last person to make the programme a success.
The DC also took a Department wise review of the list of activities to be undertaken during the programme including events to be conducted by Education, Youth Services & Sports and other Departments.
The DC asked for conducting a workshop on Flag code to sensitize officials about the Flag Code and follow Standard protocol to honour the National Flag.
The meeting also discussed the collection and distribution and delivery of flags at Block, Panchayat and Ward levels in threadbare. It was given out that sale points for flags will also be designated for collection and stocking of the National flags for proper distribution among all the participant departments/stakeholders for Office, residential and individual purposes.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner also took a detailed review of preparations being made in connection with Digital J&K Week-2022, being celebrated across J&K from July 25 to empower the citizens.
On the occasion, the DC said that the Digital Programme has been launched with a vision to transform J&K into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. He said digital transformation is a means of Digital Innovation, Implementation and Inclusion.
While discussing the activity plans regarding the Digital Week celebration, the DC said that 2 mega awareness cum literacy camps will be held in the District to impart citizens awareness about different government schemes and services being delivered through online mode so that they can avail benefits from all such public centric schemes. Besides, use of other technological interventions like Aap ka Mobile Hamara Daftar (UMANG), e-UNNAT, DigiLocker etc will also be part of the workshop for providing guidance to the public.
The DC also directed all District Heads to activate their online services and promote them by organising campaigns in coordination with District Administration for celebrations of the Digital Week. They were also told to appoint Nodal Officers in this regard.
The DC reiterated that the roll out of e-services has greatly benefited the public and brought transparency in the working of public offices.
