DC B’pora reviews arrangements for Urs Nanga Baji Sahib

B’pora : Deputy commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmed on Thursday chairs a meeting at Mini secretariat Bandipora to review the preparations for observance of annual Urs of Nanga Baji Sahib at Malangam Bandipora.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed the arrangements like accommodation, power & water supply, firewood, ration, LPG, Sanitation, Security, Medicare, transportation, fire tender and traffic management.
Dr. Owais directed Officers to place all arrangements beforehand so that devotees do not face any inconvenience.
The DC directed AD FCS&CA and NT concerned to ensure proper spacing of stalls to avoid overcrowding.
The DC directed the concerned health department to ensure basic medical facilities besides directed that face masks shall be made available at the shrine.
Officers from Jal Shakti and PDD were directed to provide uninterrupted water and power supply during the Urs period. While as Executive Engineer R&B was directed to ensure proper maintenance of the road leading to the shrine. The DC also directed Range Officer Forest Division Bandipora to provide sufficient fire wood for the URS.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the cleanliness and sanitation measure will be jointly taken up by MC Bandipora and Panchayat bodies.
The meeting was attended by AD FCS&CA, Bilal Ahmad, Manager SFC Bandipora, Tehsildar Bandipora
DySP DAR Bandipora, Administrator Holy Shrine Nanga Baji Sahib and other concerned.
