Arrangements for I-Day celebrations, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign discussed at Doda

Doda : Deputy Commissioner, Doda, Vikas Sharma, Thursday chaired a meeting to discuss the Independence Day Celebrations arrangements here at Conference Hall of DC office Doda.
Launch of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign from 11th of August to 17th of August was also discussed in detail in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to make necessary arrangements and informed that the main function will be held at Sports Stadium Doda, where Chief Guest will unfurl the Tricolour and shall take salute at the March Past Parade.
The representative of Sports Council (Incharge Sports Stadium Doda) was instructed to carry out the execution of ongoing work at the Stadium in such a manner that it doesn’t hamper the national event.
The contingents of J&K Police, IRP, CRPF, FPF, SSB, Senior and Junior NCC wings, Government and Private school children and District Police Band shall participated in the march past.
Similarly, it was decided that there shall be cultural items of local artists and school children showcasing local culture/ tradition and patriotism during the Independence Day celebrations.
Regarding display of Tableaus, the DC directed the departments to follow the past practice “The tableaus shall highlight the main activity of their department” he directed.
The DC also directed the departments to furnish the name of the officials with outstanding performance to the screening Committee within the next 7 days.
The DC also instructed the officers to work in close coordination to make the celebrations a grand success.
The meeting also discussed Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. It was apprised that under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Government has launched “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign from 11 August to 17 August, to encourage people to hoist the National flag at their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day.
Detailed deliberations were held on different aspects of the campaign and the DC directed the officers to assess the demand for flags required for hoisting on Institutional and Residential buildings across the district under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Programme.
The DC said that the programme aims at invoking a feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and promoting a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence.
The Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Doda was entrusted with the responsibility for successful implementation of the campaign in coordination with all departments and PRIs.
The meeting was attended by SP Operations, Commandant IRP, PO ICDS, CPO, GM DIC, ACP Doda, AD Employment, BDO Headquarter, DEPO, DIO DIPR, HOIs of Higher Secondary Schools and Degree College Doda and other key officials of Civil/Police administration and Para Military forces.
