2 drug peddlers booked under PSA in B’gam : Police

B’gam : Police on Thursday said that it has booked two drug peddlers under PSA in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
According to a statement issued by police on Thursday Police in Budgam in a series of actions have seized huge quantity of contraband substances from the possession of 2 drug peddlers identified as Shabir Ahmed Sofi son of Abdul Khaliq Sofi resident of Mazhama Magam and Asif Nazir Rather son of Nazir Ahmed Rather resident of Archanderhama Budgam. In it’s statement police has said that the said duo was involved in several FIRs and was promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of district Budgam.
Stating that the cases were duly processed and after obtaining sanctions from the concerned authorities, the arrested drug peddlers were detained under Public Safety Act, Police in it’s above referred statement further said that actions against anti-social elements are taken as part of the efforts made to keep society free from the scourge of inimical elements.
