DDC Chairman reviews progress of works under B2V3, Distt Capex Budget, DDC, BDC, PRI components

Jammu : District Development Council (DDC) Jammu Chairman, Bharat Bhushan on Thursday reviewed the progress of works proposed under B2V3 and District Capex Budget 2022-23 including DDC, BDC, PRI components in presence of Deputy Commissioner Avny Lavasa and DDC Vice Chairman Suraj Singh at PWD Guest House, here Thursday.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner gave a powerpoint presentation about the progress made so far.
She informed that against 486 targeted works under Back to Village-lll 482 were tendered, 458 allotted, 401 started, 294 completed and 107 are under progress.
It was further informed that out of 2855 works approved under the District Capex Budget 2022-23, around 309 are proposed under DDC plan, 274 under BDC plan and 3265 under PRI plan.
She informed that out of 3265 works under PRI components, estimates of 2676 have been done, 693 tendered, 65 allotted, 22 have been completed.
Under the DDC component, out of 309 works, estimates of 243 have been prepared, 100 tendered, 9 allotted and 6 have been completed, she informed.
Similarly, under the BDC component, out of 274 works, estimates of 229 have been prepared and 132 have been tendered.
It was also informed that under UT component out of 207 works, estimates of 203 works have been prepared, 162 tendered, 98 allotted and 22 are completed.
Under Jal Jeevan Mission, against total of 184486 households in the district 89027 have already been connected to FHTCs and the remaining 95459 households would be connected within the stipulated time frame.
Regarding the PMGSY, the concerned officers apprised the DDC Chairman that out of 765 Km sanctioned length 728 Km has been achieved and rest will be completed soon.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman stressed on the concerned authorities to make all possible efforts to accelerate the pace of work on the projects for their time-bound completion.
He asked the officers to focus on time bound execution and completion of works after the allotment of the same.
