DC Jammu inspects arrangements for I-Day function at M.A Stadium

Jammu : Deputy Commissioner, Avny Lavansa Wednesday conducted on spot review of the arrangements made for Independence Day 2022 celebration at M.A Stadium.
The DC inquired about the security arrangements, traffic regulation, seating arrangements, Full Dress Rehearsal, decoration of the venue, Power and water supply, transport arrangements, sanitation, Medicare facilities, Barricading at the venue of the function and other important matters.
The officers from security and police were asked to make fool-proof arrangements in advance for the National event. The Deputy Commissioner asked the Joint Director Information to make arrangements for Public Address System, Media coordination for proper coverage of the event, playing of Shehnai Vadan besides recommendation of commentators for the event.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation and PHE department were asked to make adequate arrangements for drinking water at the venue, while PDD functionaries were asked to provide uninterrupted power supply on the Day of celebration.
The CMO was asked to deploy a medical team with adequate facilities and an Ambulance.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Officers to make all related arrangements in advance and work in close coordination for the smooth conduct of Independence Day celebrations.
The meeting was attended by ADC L&O, Minga Sherpa, ADC ADM, Satish Sharma, Joint Director Information, Sapna Kotwal along with senior officers from Police, Security, Jal Shakti, Health, Sports and Youth Affairs and other concerned departments were present on the occasion.
