Covid- 19 In JK: 1 new death reported in last 24 hours rises toll to 4761

Srinagar, Jammu: Jammu & Kashmir Government in it’s daily covid bulletin on Wednesday said that a single day biggest spike of 434fresh positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19)including 248from Jammu division and 186 from Kashmir Valley reported in last 24 hours raised the total number of positive cases to 457951, Stating therein further that one new Covid death reported from Jammu division in last 24 hours raised the J&K’s overall Covid death toll to 4761 .
Government in it’s above referred Covid bulletin also said that moreover, 111 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 52 from Jammu division and 59 from Kashmir division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 457951 positive cases, 1724are Active Positive (996 in Jammu Division and 728 in Kashmir Division), 451466 have recovered and 4761 have died; 2336 in Jammu division and 2425 in Kashmir division.
Government in it’s daily Covid Bulletin further said that out of 25973541 test results available, 457951 samples have tested positive and 25515590 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 12,966 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 6598125 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 321 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1724in isolation and 427 in home surveillance. Besides, 6590892 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases for Wednesday, the Bulletin informs that Jammu reported 154 cases, Srinagar reported 147 cases, Udhampur reported 19 cases, Baramulla reported 16 cases, Budgam reported 11 cases, Ganderbal reported 03 cases, Kathua reported 31 cases, Doda and Ramban reported 09 cases each, Rajouri, Samba and Kishtwar reported 06 cases each, Bandipora and Pulwama reported 02 cases each, Kupwara reported 04 cases, Shopian reported 01 case, while as no other district across Jammu and Kashmir reported any fresh case.
The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K Centralised Health Helpline- Toll Free No. 104.In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialling 1075.
