DC Poonch reviews arrangements for I-day Celebrations , ‘Shanai Vadan’ played at Poonch Fort

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner, Inder Jeet, on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review arrangements for the Independence Day- 2022 celebrations here at the conference hall of DC Complex .
According to an official statement issued here, the DDC reviewed the necessary preparations, security arrangements, Barricading, decoration of the venue and important Government Buildings, seating arrangement, fire safety arrangements, besides cultural programme activity and presentation of Parade etc.
The DC instructed the concerned departments to make the arrangements well in time for celebration of the national event with full enthusiasm and gaiety.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at sports stadium, while similar functions would be held at all Tehsil Headquarters.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest will unfurl the National Flag and take salute at the march past to be presented by group of contingents.
The DC asked for tight security in and around the main venue and asked the concerned officers to maintain cleanliness in and around the venue.
He also directed for making health care arrangements at the venue. The SDMs were directed to make similar arrangements at block and tehsil levels.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted Power and water supply on the scheduled day.
It was informed that Full Dress Rehearsal shall take place on August 13.
The Information department was asked to make arrangements for the Public Address System and media coverage of the event. The DC also said that the celebration will begin with the playing of Shehnai Vadan by the Information department at Poonch Fort, Bagh Deodi and Parade area
