DC Kishtwar Reviews Preparedness For I-Day Celebration, Asks to promote “Har Ghar Tiranga” as a community festival

Kishtwar :Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kishtwar Ashok Sharma on Tuesday chaired a Joint meeting of District and Sectoral Officers to take stock of the preparations for smooth I- Day celebrations in the district.
According to an official statement issued here, the meeting, among others, was attended by ADDC Sham Lal; ADC (incharge) Inderjeet Singh Parihar; JD Planning, Mohd Iqbal; ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak; ACP, Zakir Hussain Wani; ACD, Atul Dutt Sharma, Tehsildar (HQ), Chander Shekhar Sharma besides other district and Sectoral Officers.
The Tehsildars attended the meeting through virtual mode.
The DC enjoined upon all SDMs and Tehsildars to make elaborate arrangements for the celebration of Independence Day with full enthusiasm and traditional fervour.
The Chief Education Officer was asked to start the preparation for the variety cultural programme involving renowned local artists, and school children.
The Deputy Commissioner also called for making foolproof arrangements at all venues including district headquarters.
He stressed all the district and sectoral officers to work in synergy for finishing the arrangements before the Full Dress Rehearsal on 13th Aug 2022.
He emphasized on concerned officers to carry out cleanliness and sanitation drives at all locations, besides making adequate security arrangements, parking facility, drinking water, proper seating arrangement, health, refreshment and other related arrangements in time.
The meeting also deliberated on the “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme and worked out the strategy for making the event a community festival.
All the departments were asked to appoint nodal officers for requisitioning national flags, while the District Sports Officer was asked to print pamphlets on flag code and its protocol for distribution among the civilians and institutions.
