Cyber Jagrookta campaign: GDC Pouni Organises Poster-Making Competition

Reasi : Government Degree College Pouni’s Cyber Jagrookta Committee in collaboration with IQAC organised a poster-making competition under the supervision of Principal, Prof. Rajni Bhagat, as per a press statement issued in this regard.
The theme of the competition reads, “Cyber Security Awareness,” and Dr. Varsha Kapoor, HOD Sociology and the Convener Cyber Jagrookta committee and Co-convener IQAC was the Incharge of the event.
The objective of organizing the event was to generate awareness about the significance of cyber security and empower students to be safer and more secure online. So, poster making competition was the part of this awareness campaign to create a dialogue around safer cyberspace and explore the creative instinct of the students.
One-day Lecture by Dr. Varsha Kapoor was delivered a day prior to pave the way/set the base for the aforementioned activity. She imparted the basic knowledge regarding cyber crimes and security issues.
Prof. Balbir kumar, HOD Economics, and Convener IQAC and Dr. Tarseem Kumar, HOD Dogri and Co-convener Cyber Jagrookta committee very well coordinated the event. GDC Pouni witnessed an enormous amount of participation from the students of all Semesters who made visually appealing posters.
After giving a thorough evaluation by the committee members, Dr. Prem Singh, Prof. Jaspal Singh, Prof. U S Liza, Tanpreet Singh and Prof. Bindu Sharma, top three winners were declared and given certificates too by Principal, Prof. Rajni Bhagat. Diksha Sharma and Sarishta Kumari of first semester held the first position. Second position was shared by the three students, Nusrat Jaa, Kavleen Kour and Navrakshi Sharma of semester 4th. And Priya Sharma, Anjali Sharma and Minisha Sharma of semester fourth held the third position.
Principal applauded the efforts of all the Committee members and participants. She congratulated the winners for showing keen interest in such an awareness campaign.
