Anantnag : The Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag who is also designated as Adjudicating Officer under FSSA, 2006 today imposed a penalty of Rs 1,50,000 on 09 cases filed by Food Safety Officers in the district against various Food Business Operators (FBOs) for violating different provisions of Food Safety and Standards Act (FSSA), 2006.
As per an official spokesman, all the 09 Food Business Operators were present in person along with their standing counsels and were given ample opportunities to defend the allegations leveled against them. However they failed to prove their innocence.
The SDC during the trial of these cases directed the FBOs to adhere strictly to the provisions of FSSA, 2006 and desist from such unwarranted acts in future.
