Poonch Admin starts “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign

Initiative aims to invoke feeling of patriotism among citizens: DC

Poonch : Under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the District administration Poonch has set in the process to promote ” Har Ghar Trianga” Campaign
In this regard, District Development Commissioner, Inder Jeet on Monday chaired a meeting with the officers of different departments and discussed the modalities for roping in the civil society members to promote the campaign.
Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Abdul Sattar, General Manager DIC, Dr. Zakir Hussain, CEO PDA, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Zaheer Ahmed Kaifi, Assistant Commissioner Development, Abid Hussain Shah, DIO/ Deputy Registrar Cooperative, Vishaldeep Chandan, ARTO Poonch, Basharat Mehmood, EO Municipality, Mushtaq Hussain, XEN PHE, Irshad Huusain, besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on different aspects of the campaign and the officers were asked to encourage the people to hoist the National Flag at their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the programme was aimed at invoking a feeling of patriotism among the citizens and promoting a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence.
The DC stressed upon the officers to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in advance for the success of the campaign.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner asked the district heads of the departments to submit department-wise requisitions for National Flags for further distribution among the civil society members and officials.
The DC asked the officers of Rural Development department to ensure active participation of PRIs in the campaign at Panchayat level.
The Assistant Commissioner Panchayats (ACP) was asked to conduct awareness programmes to encourage the public in all Panchayats to hoist the National Flag at their homes and to make the initiative a grand success.
