Srinagar : Vikram Randhawa, former Legislator on Monday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha here at Raj Bhawan.
As per an official, the former legislator discussed with the Lt Governor various issues of public importance including the issue of mining in Tawi River.
He apprised the Lt Governor about the danger of floods in around 45 villages because of raised riverbed in Tawi, and demanded steps for speedy resolution of resuming mining activity in the Tawi.
The former Legislator expressed gratitude to the Lt Governor for announcing 10 percent reservation for ‘Agniveers’ in JKP while addressing the monthly ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ programme.
The Lt Governor listening to the issues put forth by the former legislator assured him that his genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned quarters of J&K Government for their early redressal. He urged Sh Randhawa to continue his endeavours towards public welfare.
