DC Kupwara Finalises Arrangements for “Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya”

Kupwara :The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir on Monday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review and finalize arrangements for the celebration of Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya.
As per a press statement, during the meeting it was informed that KPDCL is going to organise a series of activities to showcase the achievements made in the power sector in the last 75 years (Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya Programme) under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The DC said that the celebrations will be held at Teetwal in Karnah subdivision on 27th July and at Manigah, Block Hyhama in Kupwara on 29th and 30th of July.
He exhorted concerned officers and other stakeholders to work in close coordination for organizing the events smoothly. He directed the nodal department that beneficiaries of schemes of Power Sector may be involved in the programme for their further sensitization.
The concerned departments were directed to cooperate and work in coordination with each other for the successful conduct of the programme.
The DC called for concerted efforts from the concerned departments and directed for making all preparations to ensure successful celebration of the Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya week.
The DC asked SDM Karnah to give full support to the nodal department in mobilization and participation, especially beneficiaries of power. He also directed CEO Kupwara to prepare students for cultural activities during the programme at both the places.
He also discussed publicity material, banners and posters and was informed the material would be made available in advance in both the places. He directed for installation of banners and other publicity material in Tangdhar Headquarter and in Kupwara headquarter apart from the notified 2 places.
The DC also directed concerned officers to ensure sanitation during the programme in advance.
He stressed upon all officers to make concerted efforts and conduct the programme in a well organized and befitting manner.
The meeting was attended by JD-Planning, SE KPDCL, Executive Engineer STD wing, CEO, AEEs from various wings of KPDCL and other concerned.
