DC Kathua Reviews Progress Of B2V Works

Kathua : Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey on Monday chaired a meeting of Block Development Officers to review progress achieved under the ‘Back to Village’ programme in the district.
As per a press statement, at the outset threadbare discussion was held on the progress of ongoing works, tendering and allotment of new projects besides bottlenecks and other issues hampering the work progress.
Reviewing the pace of ongoing works taken up in different blocks of the district, the DC laid stress on completing the projects within given timelines.
The DC directed the concerned to expedite the tendering and allotment process of pending works for their timely completion. He further impressed upon the officers to follow the pending Forest Clearance of the proposed projects.
Block Development Officers were also directed to liaison with concerned Tehsildars to redress the public issues pertaining to Revenue department.
Discussing the issues of projects hampered due to disputes, the DC directed BDOs to personally visit the sites to take first hand appraisal of the ground reality. He also called upon the field functionaries to adhere to the orders and directions of the courts.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, besides other concerned officials.
