KVK Budgam, SKUAST-K Celebrate 94th Year of Foundation Day of ICAR

B’gam : The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Budgam on Saturday celebrated ICAR 94th Foundation Day & Award Ceremony at KVK campus, here.
The programme at the Kendra was attended by around 50 farmers of the district who were connected virtually with ICAR New Delhi.
During this function, Union Agriculture Minister, N.S. Tomar released the success stories of 75000 Progressive Farmers of the country at ICAR New Delhi. Besides this many progressive farmers were awarded and interactive session with farmers across the country was also held through virtual mode.
Dr. T. Mohapatra (D. G. ICAR) highlighted the achievements of ICAR and adoption of latest agricultural technologies by the farmers which paved the way for doubling the farmers’ income.
At KVK campus, Fida Hussain Safvi (Progressive farmer), interacted with the farmers of the district regarding how he achieved the milestone of becoming a progressive farmer by adoption of integrated farming system with the support of KVK Budgam.
Dr Bilal Ahmad Lone (Sr. Scientist & Head KVK Budgam) discussed the 94th Foundation day of ICAR and interacted with the farmers regarding the event.
