DG Budget reviews Capex Budget 2022-23 at Pulwama, Urges for use of Janbhagidari portal

Pulwama : The Director General (DG) Budget, M. Y. Yatoo on Saturday convened a meeting to review the implementation of District CAPEX Budget of the current financial year at District Administrative Complex, here.
As per an official spokesman, the meeting was informed that under district CAPEX budget 2022-23 an estimated amount of Rs. 75019.69 lakhs is outlayed for year 2022-23, out of which 7801.16 lakhs have been received under various schemes/developmental projects, underway through different executing agencies. It was also informed that a total of 3427 works have been kept in the plan, out of which 3195 have been kept on priority and are targeted to be completed this year.
Addressing the officers, the DG stressed upon them to ensure timely completion of all works so that the benefits of development percolate down at the ground level and people can feel the difference. He added that people have pinned hope on the present Government; as such it is the duty of present dispensation to come up on the people’s expectations. He said that the timely execution and implementation of works is a way forward towards development and asset creation.
DG directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line departments and work with synergy to achieve developmental goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season and to cater to the developmental needs of the district with focus on creating tangible assets.
He stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion. He exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame besides urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.
DG also briefed about the Janbhagidari portal and laid emphasis on its use and participation of people and public representatives in the quality asset creation.
He said the objective of the portal is to encourage the citizens to access the website to gain firsthand knowledge of the works being executed in their areas and give their feedback about the quality and pace of work in their respective areas so as to ensure equitable and inclusive development.
Janbhagidari portal is a one-stop interactive and user-friendly digital platform giving detailed insights to the people into the nature, status and the number of developmental works being executed in their areas.
In what is its unique selling point, the users can also send their feedback about any work implemented by government in their areas.
The portal can be accessed by logging on to the website https://janbhagidari.jk.gov.in/.
During the discourse of the meeting, the engineers of Jal Shakti, Power and R&B briefed the meeting about the achievements of their respective departments.
The DG was informed about the achievements made under different sectors including PHE, PDD, R&B, Education, Health, MGNREGA, NRLM, Social Welfare, ICDS and other sectors.
Among others the meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Pulwama Dr Sheikh AB Aziz, and all district/Sectoral Officers.
