DDC Rajouri reviews implementation of RDD schemes

Rajouri : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Saturday took a comprehensive review of the implementation of Rural Development Department schemes here in a meeting of the concerned officers.
ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACD, Vijay Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; ExEn REW, Bashir Ahmed and BDOs attended the meeting.
As per an official spokesman, during the meeting DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the progress achieved under PMAY-G, Mandays generation, construction of Bunkers, 14th FC, Capex Budget Awas Plus etc.
It was informed that out of 3786 works proposed under District Capex Budget, the tenders for as many as 2404 works have been floated. The DDC asked the concerned officers to ensure that the tenders for all approved works are floated within the shortest possible time.
Seeking progress regarding generation of man-days, the DDC inquired about the reasons for the low PDs and asked the concerned to take effective measures to meet the shortfall.
About PMAY-G, it was informed that against the target of constructing 30691 houses, the work on 16882 is complete in all respects. The DDC issued instructions for completion of the set targets at the earliest. He asked to ensure the timely payment of installments to the beneficiaries under the scheme.
The meeting was further informed that under Back to village-3, against 929 proposed works, work on 363 has been completed in all respects.
The DDC stressed upon the officers to work in coordination for the better and fruitful implementation of the schemes on ground to meet the expectations of the rural population.
He also directed for removing bottlenecks if any on priority so that execution of the projects shall not be delayed.
DDC also emphasized on the need for interdepartmental coordination for achieving the desired outcomes on the developmental front.
