Kupwara :The District Administration Kupwara on Saturday organized Joint Umbrella Camps in 65 Panchayats of all 24-blocks of Kupwara district, said an official spokesman in a statement issued here.
As per the statement, the objective of organizing these camps is to ensure 100 percent coverage and saturation under key performance indicators for financial inclusion in a mission mode.
The functionaries of Health, ICDS, Agriculture, Banking, RDD and NRLM attended the camps and provided awareness about centrally sponsored beneficiary oriented schemes including Old Age pension, Golden Health Card, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY, Minority Scholarship, Aadhaar seeding, KCC, Soil Health Cards, MUDRA Loan, and other indicators under Aspirational District Programme.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir, the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kupwara inspected various joint umbrella camps in block Rajwar and Handwara, Wadder Bala and Wadder Payeen.
The ADC Kupwara/Handwara, SDM Lolab/ Karnah inspected the proceedings of joint umbrella camps in their respective areas, besides, the District/ Block level Monitoring Teams also visited the panchayats in their respective jurisdictions.
The DC said that that the schemes are being saturated to improve the key performance indicators and deliverables. He said today was the fourth phase of Joint Umbrella camps which received good public response.
While releasing the data in the evening regarding the achievements of day long umbrella camps, it was informed that 2373 Golden Cards, 1731 KCC, 696 Soil Health Cards have been issued during the day long umbrella camps. Besides, enrollment of 1154 beneficiaries under PMSBY, 713 beneficiaries under PMJJY, 32 under APY and 328 Aadhaar seeding with bank accounts was also done.
