DC B’la reviews arrangements for celebration of “Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya”

B’la: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar on Saturday chaired a meeting of concerned officers in connection with the celebration of ‘Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya, a Central Government initiative launched as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Meeting Hall, here.
The meeting discussed threadbare calendar of activities for observing ‘Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya’ week in the district.
On the occasion, it was informed that as part of the weeklong celebration, the programme in the district will be organised at Baramulla headquarter and sub division Uri on July 25 and 28 respectively.
During the meeting, it was informed that a series of activities will be organised to showcase the achievements made in the power sector in the last 75 years (Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya Program) under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
It was given out in the meeting that events and programmes will be organized to sensitize the masses about schemes of the power sector besides showcasing movies with testimonials of beneficiaries and other achievements made in the sector.
The meeting was informed that during the programme various cultural events will be presented including Nukad Natak and other skits etc.
On the occasion, the DC directed Nodal department that beneficiaries of schemes of Power Sector may be involved in the programme for their further sensitization. The concerned departments were directed to cooperate and work in coordination with each other for the successful conduct of the programme.
She called for concerted efforts from the concerned departments and directed for making all preparations to ensure successful celebration of the Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya week
