Preparatory meeting on ‘Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya’ held at B’pora

B’pora : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed Thursday chaired a preparatory meeting in connection with the celebration of ‘Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya, a central government initiative launched as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at mini secretariat, here.
The meeting discussed threadbare calendar of activities for observing ‘Ujjwal Bharat, Ujjwal Bhavishya’ week.
It was informed that as part of the weeklong celebration, the programme in the district will be organised at Bandipora and Sumbal sub division on July 25 and 27 respectively.
It was given out that the programme will highlight the achievements in the power and renewable energy sectors over the last years to the public and also the vision of India in these sectors for 2047, when the country completes 100 years of Independence.
It was also given out that during the programme various cultural events will be presented including nukkad natak, cultural performance, exhibition etc.
Dr. Owais asked all the concerned to cooperate and work in coordination with each other for the successful conduct of the programme.
He called for concerted efforts from all the concerned departments and directed for making all preparations to ensure successful celebration of the Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya week.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Imtiyaz Ahmad; Principal GDC Bandipora, Mohd Amin Malik representatives of other concerned departments and NHPC.
