Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir Thursday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of installation of mobile towers and laying of Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) in Kupwara district, here.
The meeting was aimed at discussing the Right of Way (RoW) permission / NOC for installation of mobile towers/laying of OFC in various locations of the district.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues pertaining to the RoW permission and NOC and the DC was given feedback about the progress of the cases.
It was informed that a total number of 67 cases have been put up for permission for installation of towers out of which 7 NOCs have already been issued while as, the DC directed concerned Tehsildars to submit remaining 60 cases within a short span of time so that necessary NOCs could be issued.
The meeting was attended by various Tehsildars of the district and Executive Engineer R&B Kupwara.
