Samba :Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta Wednesday handed over the keys of load Carrier vehicles to six unemployed youth of the district under the MUMKIN scheme of Mission Youth.
Assistant Director Employment Samba, Sulakshana Thakur, informed that 120 persons have been benefitted in Samba district since the launch of this scheme last year, involving subsidy of Rs.87.64 lakh and bank loan of Rs.798.07 lakh.
It is pertinent to mention the MUMKIN scheme is being implemented in the district through the Employment Department.
Briefing about the scheme, the AD Employment further said that under the MUMKIN scheme, 100 percent financial assistance for purchase of small commercial vehicles is provided to the unemployed youth in the age group 18-35 years with 10 percent subsidy from Mission Youth and equal matching share by the dealer. “This year, in addition to the load carrier, passenger vehicles and electric rickshaws have also been added to the list of eligible vehicles under this scheme” added the AD Employment.
