Awantipora : Police on Thursday said that it has arrested a lady drug peddler in Awantipora and recovered contraband substance from her possession.
In a statement issued on Thursday police said that a Police party of Police Station Pampore during naka checking at Y-Bend Gallander NHW arrested one lady drug peddler when she was moving in a suspicious condition and recovered 7Kg of grinded Poppy Straw from her possession.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 87/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Pampore, police in the concluding para of it’s above referred statement appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug dealings in their neighbourhood, warning therein that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
