DEO Kulgam holds meeting with representatives of Pol Parties, Discusses rationalization of Polling Stations

K’gam :To discuss the rationalization of polling stations/booths, the District Election Officer (DEO) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat Wednesday convened a meeting with representatives of political parties at mini-secretariat, here.
During the meeting, the DEO asked all political parties to go through the proposed draft of polling stations which was provided to them by the authorities and were asked to record comments for rectification in due course of time.
While addressing them, the DEO said that polling stations are a vital part of the electoral process, and the polling stations will be created keeping in view of the convenience of the voters and must include all essential facilities and added that any new proposal that falls within the norms will be considered and approved.
Political Parties were also asked to appoint Booth Level Agents and to submit the BLA list at an earliest through concerned AEROs.
Among others present during the meeting were, EROs, Showkat Ahmad Rather, Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz and UmerShafiPandith, Dy-DEO Bilal Ahmad Kamgar, AEROs, Election NaibTehsildar and other concerned.
