Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway: DC Samba holds land compensation disbursement camp at Tapyal

Rs 5.20 crore disbursed among 22 owners

Samba :To make the process hassle free and transparent, a special camp for disbursement of land compensation, acquired for Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway was Wednesday held here at Tapyal in Ghagwal.
A team of revenue officers led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anuradha Gupta supervised the exercise of the verification of documents of the land owners acquired for DAK Expressway.
Block Development Council Chairman Ghagwal, Vijay Tagotra, DDC Member, Suresh Kumar, SDM, Ramkesh along with Tehsildar, NaibTehsildar and other officials and land owners were present on the occasion.
To make the exercise transparent, all the details viz. the name of the land owner, quantum of land acquired amount of compensation assessed were publicly announced.
It was informed that out of 38 owners/beneficiaries in the area, 22 owners/beneficiaries were identified and verified during the camp and later the compensation amount was disbursed directly in their bank accounts. “Rs 5.20 crore were disbursed among the 22 owners as per the nature of land acquired, while rest of the land owners will be provided the same in the next camp” informed an official.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner informed that 24 land compensation disbursement camps will be held across district Samba for ensuring fair and transparent disbursement of compensation amount. “This was the first camp held with the cooperation of elected members for the disbursement of the compensation of land acquired for Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway” said the DC Samba.
The other land compensation distribution camps would be organized at Sagal, Suhanda, Birpur, Jatwal, smailpur, meenCharkan, meen Sarkar, patti, patli, tarore, katli, rehian, ramnagar, rakhambtali, badheri, langath, Bara, Sunjwan, ChakMehtab Singh, Vijaypur, Salmeri, pekhri, and chajjwal in coming days.
