DDC Doda reviews Tourism activities in Bhaderwah

Mobile connectivity, basic facilities to be developed at all tourist spots, PWD asked to submit Seri Park up-gradation proposal

Bhaderwah :District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today reviewed Tourism related activities in Bhaderwah here at a meeting of the officers of local administration and Tourism stakeholders held here in Dakbunglow.
The meeting was attended by ADC Bhaderwah, CEO BDA, SDPO Bhaderwah, TehsildarBhaderwah, AD Tourism, EO MC Bhaderwah, President Tour and Travels Association, President Hoteliers’ Association, representative of Guest House Association, Chairman Umar Educational Trust Bhaderwah and other concerned.
The DC directed the agencies to work out a plan to develop trekking routes preferably to Jai Valley, Padri, Guldandi and Nalthietc, creation of infrastructure and basic facilities at all tourist destinations with the provision of mobile and internet connectivity.
He also called for exploring the possibility of starting a Bus service between Katra and Bhaderwah for the tourists.The AD tourism was asked to prepare a road map in this regard.
The CEO BDA was asked to prepare a detailed project report for the development of minimum basic facilities including arrangements for night stay and all weather road connectivity to Jai, Padri, Guldandi.
The ADC and CEO BDA were asked to take on board the concerned agencies for early installation of communication towers at these tourist places.
ADC, EO MC Bhaderwah and SDPO were directed to take immediate measures to create parking facility in the Bhaderwah town to avoid Jam and traffic congestion. He instructed the Traffic Police to deal strictly with illegal parking in the town for smooth plying of vehicles.
Regarding maintenance of park at Seri Bazar, the EO MC Bhaderwah and Ex En PWD were directed to fence the park with entry and exit gates, plant flowers and ornamental plants and ensure proper maintenance to make it more attractive. The PWD functionaries were asked to plan and develop alternate roads to reduce the traffic congestion in the town during tourist season.
Later, the bottlenecks hampering the early construction of NTPHC Bhallara were also discussed with concerned officer from 4 RR Bhallara.
