Samba :Promoting doorstep governance, District Administration Samba today held a Public Outreach camp under weekly Block Diwas programme here at far flung PanchayatRatwana of Block Ghagwal and addressed locals issues and demands.
Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta listened to the demands, issues, and aspirations of the local community. The elected representatives also presented their demands regarding the local issues.
Among others, the locals raised concerns over irregular water supply, non-maintenance of Power Lines, non-functional tube-well, besides they demanded convening of promotional activities regarding agricultural and horticulture, demarcation of Pond Land, up-gradation of local School, new bridge at Nichalaetc.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Jal Shakti (PHE) Department to immediately address the water shortage issue in the area and also directed to press in additional water tankers to meet the water requirements. The DC also directed PDD and PWD district heads to formulate plans for up-gradation of existing infrastructure and creation of new assets and submit its DPR for further course of action.
Addressing the issue of Patwarkhana, the DC directed revenue officials to shift the office to central location to facilitate easy accessibility for all. The DC also assured that demand of up-gradation of local School would be forwarded with recommendations to the Government.
Among others, BDC Chairman Vijay Tagotra, DDC Member Suresh Kumar, SDM Ramkesh, ACD SidharathDhiman, SarpanchesMadhu Devi, Jasbir Singh, panches, prominent persons and other officials were also present.
