DC Kathua conducts whirlwind tour of tehsil Marheen

Kathua :Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey Wednesday conducted a whirlwind tour of Marheen tehsil to take stock of development scenario of the area.
During his visit to border Tehsil Marheen, the DC inspected ongoing work of Receiving Station at village ChhanChrakhdian. He directed XEN STD to speed up the ongoing work to ensure commissioning of the facility within stipulated time.
The DC also inspected PMGSY road at Village Raghunathpur, work of which is near completion.
While inspecting the flood affected areas at village ChabbeChack, the DC appealed PRIs to sensitize people to stay away from flood prone areas and keep the livestock at bay so as to avert any untoward incident.
The DC further directed XEN Flood Control to submit DPR for creation of protection assets so as to safeguard land besides preventing loss of lives and property.
The DC was accompanied by DDC councilorMarheen Karan Attri, CPO Uttam Singh and other district officers.
