DC chairs Block Diwas at Gagren, Shopian, listens Grievances,assures timely action

Shopian :The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Wednesday chaired Block Diwas at BDO Office Gagren, Shopian.
On the occasion, the DDC met scores of deputations of locals, PRIs and listened to their grievances.
People projected various issues including macadamization of roads, portable drinking water facility, repair of lanes and bylanes, road connectivity and other issues of public importance.
During interaction with the people, Vaishya took stock of different ongoing developmental works and emphasized upon officers present for timely completion of developmental projects.
He also reviewed the status of progress on previous grievances raised by the public during various Block Diwas programmes.
The DDC directed concerned officers to work with cohesion among themselves and ensure timely completion of all the left out works within the fixed timeline.
He directed the officers to monitor the proceedings of Block Diwas and to ensure that the record of grievances is maintained for follow up action.
DDC assured that all their genuine demands shall be taken up for appropriate action as expeditiously as possible and within norms.
District officers and officials, PRI members, besides people in large numbers from various areas of the district participated in the said Block Diwas.
