Srinagar :Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir, Public Service Commission (JKPSC), Satish Chandra Wednesday condoled the sad demise of Ex. Chairman JKPSC Shamas-ud-din Ganie who passed away recently.
In this regard a condolence meeting was held at office complex of JKPSC Solina here in which members of JKPSC, Secretary JKPSC and officers of the Commission, besides staff participated.
During the condolence meeting, The Chairman highlighted the contribution of late Ganie and said that he was an able administrator, a visionary and source of inspiration for vast number of people.
The Chairman further said that his contribution to society is widely remembered. He asked the officers and staff of the Commission to carry forward the mission which has been nurtured by legendary civil servants like him.
During the condolence meeting, other speakers lauded the role of late Ganie as Chairman of the Commission. It was also highlighted that his inspirational role drew more and more people towards public service.
At the end of the meeting, a prayer was also held in memory of late Ganie.
Notably, late Shamas-ud-din Ganie served as Chairman of J&K Public Service Commission from 04/92 to 03/95.
