Hakeem re- orients PDF youth wing, pitches for performance based, divorce to emotional slogans

Srinagar : With a view to strengthening youth cadre of it’s party , Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front ( J&K PDF ) , Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen on Friday nominated Mushtaq Ahmed Paul as president of the youth wing of PDF whereas Ali Mohd Shah of Humhama, Budgam has been nominated as vice president of PDF youth wing .
In a statement issued on Friday Hakeem while announcing nominees of the PDF youth wing at a gathering of party workers said that PDF will assign a pivotal role to it’s youth wing for effective transformation of the socio-political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that in view of the prevailing socio political situation in Jammu and Kashmir ,it has become imperative to bring youth on the fore front in decision making . He said youth have an onerous duty to safegaurd identity and honour of the people of Jammu and Kashmir through a vigorous constitutional and democratic struggle .
PDF Chairman said that people of Jammu and Kashmir will continue struggle for restoration of state hood , which he said “ has been usurped unilaterally”, stating therein that “We want restoration of constitunal gaurantees for our rights on land and employment ” Hakeem urged the central leadership to fulfill it’s promises made in this regard on the floor of the Parliament . He has also urged conduct of early assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir to restore democracy at gross roots level .
Hakeem held a threadbare deliberations with the party workers on the ground situation and asked them to broad base their public outreach linkages to strengthen the party at gross roots level. He said next assembly elections would be performance based adding that traditional political parties can no longer now hoodwink public opinion on false promises and emotional slogans. He asked workers to work for redressing day to day grievances of the people and highlight thier problems before the concerned authorities at local level . On this occasion , Hakeem urged the government to make adequate arrangements for smooth celebrations of forthcoming Eid– Ul- Azha and check soaring prices of essential commodities .
