MSK B’gam holds awareness prog on women empowerment

B’gam :The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (MSK), Budgam organized an awareness programme on women empowerment at Khansahib, here.
The programme began with introduction and working of DHEW-MSK, Afroza Women Welfare Officer and Outreach Worker Moosa raised awareness on various schemes such as ICPS, CWC Child Helpline 1098, BBBP, JSY, LadliBeti, PMMVY, Mumkin, Tajeswani, Cutting and Tailoring, State Marriage Assistance, JKRLM, One Stop Centre for Women, Shelter Home, etc
The team explained the different types of violence that can be seen prevalent in society. A lot of emphasis was given on sexual violence and means of seeking help in case of occurrence of sexual violence. Contact Numbers of child-line, WHL 18, MSK, OSC, Women Squad and Special Cell for Women and Children were shared with the participants so that they can seek help in case of any kind of violence they face or witness.
The team discussed the issues related to cybercrime and stalking. They also discussed the means of prevention of such crimes. Participants were made aware of steps they can take in order to seek help in case of any cyber security issue they face.
CDPO, Supervisors, AWWs, AWHs, Local Women took part in the awareness programme.
