Udhampur :To review implementation of the Pre-conception & Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC & PNDT) Act and the Clinical Establishment Registration & Regulation Act, 2010 in the district, Deputy Commissioner, KrittikaJyotsna chaired a meeting of District Advisory Committee (DAC) at the district headquarters here Thursday.
Threadbare discussions were held on issues including registration and renewal of ultrasound centres, regulation of labs and clinics, inspections and mechanisms for monitoring and implementation of PCPNDT Act among many others.
The CMO was asked to grant provisional registration to clinical establishments after fulfilling the requisite formalities. The DC asked the CMO to carry out inspections of clinical establishments and impose penalties upon the defaulters as prescribed in the Clinical Establishment Act.
The Chief Medical Officer was instructed to withhold renewal of registration and directed for closure of NavJeevan Neuropsychiatric and De-addiction Centre GoleMelaUdhampur till enquiry is completed.
The District Social Welfare Officer was asked to submit a proposal for establishment of a De-addiction centre in the district. Other concerned officers were directed to conduct frequent inspections and to take strict action against defaulters.
For approval of registration of the Ultrasound centres, the DC directed that photographs and videography of the premises of the centres and their surroundings be presented before the members of the Advisory Committee.
The DC also directed for proper record maintenance of antenatal cases at all the ultrasound centres in the district.
