DC Shopian convenes meeting regarding Dastaq portal

Shopian :The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Thursday convened a meeting of all concerned Officers with regard to Dastaq programme to ensure that all unemployed youth of the district get awareness regarding Centrally Sponsored and other schemes through online portal Dastak.in.
The basic aim of the online facility is to provide a platform to the youth of the district so that they are able to generate employment for themselves and earn their livelihood.
The DC exhorted upon the officers of all the concerned departments to activate their field functionaries for online uploading of cases within stipulated timeframe and emphasised them for getting the required target well in time.
He congratulated the youth of the district for showing keen interest in establishing units by applying through online portal Dastak.in. He assured them of every possible support from the district administration in their future endeavours.
Motivating the youth to avail the maximum benefit of the government initiatives, he said that in the present competitive world the opportunity never knocks at the doors rather one needs to grab it.
The DC said that the need of the hour is that youth should get knowledge about the schemes of all the departments meant for the upliftment of the unemployed youth to earn their livelihood to generate employment opportunities for others also.
The meeting, among others was attended by General Manager, DIC; Tehsildars, Lead Bank Manager, Chief Horticulture officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer and other concerned.
