Pulwama : The Annual Urs of Hazrat Ameer Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA), affectionately known as Shah-e-Hamdan was observed at Khanqah Faiz Panah in Tral area of South Kashmir on Tuesday & Wednesday with religious fervor.
On the occasion, thousands of men and women devotees from several parts of Kashmir thronged the shrine, where holy relics of Hazrat Ameer Kabir (RA) were displayed thrice a day on Wednesday. Earlier on Tuesday, Shab-Khawani was also held at shrine, in which large number of people participated and took part in ‘Duaiya Majlis’. Pertinently, Shahi Hamdan (RA) was very influential in spreading Islam in Kashmir, whose Urs is being observed on 06 Zil Hijjah every year. Meanwhile, the devotees prayed for peace in Kashmir, and sought blessings and mercy from Almighty during the Urs.
