Srinagar : Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday highly praised security forces and the families of duo militants who persuaded their militant sons to lay down arms and surrender during a live encounter in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. In a tweet, she said that these kind of efforts must be continued so that youngsters who join militancy are given a second chance to live their lives.
“Two lives saved thanks to the efforts of their families & the support extended by security forces. These kind of efforts must be continued so that youngsters who join militancy are given a second chance to live their lives,” she tweeted. Notably, two LeT militants surrendered during a live encounter in Kulgam today morning after an appeal by their parents and police.
