Doda :District Social Welfare Office Doda Wednesday organised a programme for distribution of motorised tricycles among specially-abled beneficiaries under the District Disability Rehabilitation Centres (DDRC) scheme.
On the occasion, 5 motorised tricycles were distributed among specially-abled persons by DDC Doda Vikas Sharma who handed over motorised tricycles along with keys and documents to the beneficiaries.
DDC was accompanied by District Social Welfare Officers Doda Tariq Qazi and other concerned officials of the Social Welfare department.
While speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that the motive behind the distribution of these tricycles is to empower the specially-abled. He also asked the beneficiaries to avail benefits entailed under various self-employment schemes of Central and J&K Government for their livelihood.
