Srinagar: The traffic movement on 434-km long Srinagar-Leh highway was restored after mudslide triggered by incessant rains forced the closure of the highway on Tuesday morning at Kullan area of Kangan in Ganderbal district, officials said.
The officials said that the men and machinery were pressed into service to clear the debris on the road.
“With the efforts of District administration Ganderbal Police, SDRF, army and BRO the debris was removed and one-way traffic movement was restored on the highway,” they said.
Pertinently, the Srinagar-Leh highway was closed for vehicular movement after fresh mudslides, triggered by rain occurred at Kullan Gund area in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district
