Demise of Broadcaster Masood Ahmad’s mother widely condoled

Srinagar: Mother of Senior Broadcaster and Editor All India Radio’s ‘Shaharbeen’ programme, Maqsood Ahmad , passed away last Monday, several social, political, and religious organisations have expressed their condolences.

The deceased named Hameeda Begum was reportedly admitted at a hospital in Srinagar, and breathed her last on Monday evening.

On Tuesday, PSAJK expresses condolence with broadcaster Maqsood Ahmad, Senior Journalist Abid Wani and Mufti Azhari.

In his condolence message, PSAJK president G. N. Var expressed solidarity with the bereaved family especially Mr Maqsood Ahmad on this occasion of great loss.

He prayed to Almighty to grant the departed soul with highest place in Jannah and give courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee(JKPCC) President Ghulam Ahmad Mir has also expressed profound grief over the passing away of Mother of Editor Current Affairs Programme on All India Radio(Shaherbeen) Maqsood Ahmad.

In his condolence message, Mir expressed solidarity with Maqsood Ahmad and prayed for his courage to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, Chairman People’s Democratic Front ( PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of mother of renowned broadcaster and Editor AIR’s ‘Shaharbeen, Maqsood Ahmad Uri. In his condolence message Hakeem Yaseen has expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and has prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference President, Sajad Gani Lone has also expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of mother of senior broadcaster Maqsood Ahmed. While expressing condolences, Sajad prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family in their hour of loss and grief.

Similarly, Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Anjuman-e-Urdu Sahafat, Chairman JKCSF Qayoom Wani, CPI(M) leader M.Y. Tarigami, BJP leader Altaf Thakur, and others have condoled the demise and prayed for the departed soul.
