B’gam : Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested two persons and seized 2 vehicles involved in the commission of crime in Budgam.
According to a police statement, officers from Police Post Soibugh during naka checking at Bonpora Soibugh intercepted two vehicles (Tippers) bearing registration numbers JK03A-3595 and JK04B-3681loaded with illegally extracted soil and arrested two accused drivers identified as Firdous Ahmad Malik son of Muhammad Sadiq Malik resident of Bonpora Soibugh and Mudasir Ahmad Kuttay son of Mohammad ShafiKuttay resident of Arizal Budgam , stating therein further that the vehicles used in the commission of crime have also been seized.
Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No. 221/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and further investigation set into motion.
Police in the concluding para of it’s above-referred statement appealed people not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules and also warned that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law.
