Kishtwar Admin finalises arrangements for Sarthal Devi Yatra-2022

Kishtwar :To finalise the arrangements for smooth conduct of Sarthal Devi Yatra scheduled on July 7 to July 8 2022, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar Sham Lal Monday convened a meeting of the district officers and members of Sarthal Devi Management Council here at the conference Hall DC office complex.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Shafqat Hussain Bhatt; ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak, Tehsildar, Pramood Kumar; ARTO, I/C CEO Municipal Council, besides others concerned officers and representatives of Sarthal Devi Management Council attended the meeting.
The members of the Sarthal Devi Management Council apprised the ADDC Kishtwar that the Yatra would proceed from Gouri Shankar MandirSarkoot on July 7, 2022 afternoon towards Sarthal Shrine and the Holy Chhari will be received by the priest in the temple in the evening. Hawan will conclude on July 8 in the temple premises and the yatra will return to Kishtwar on the same day.
The Additional District Development Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure all basic amenities at Gouri Shankar MandirSarkoot, at the shrine and enroute. He asked for taking advance measures for availability of adequate drinking water, availability of medical facilities, ambulance, toilet facilities for pilgrims, improving the light system around the temple, maintenance and repair of Sarthal road, besides sufficient number of vehicles for transportation of the devotees.
Regarding the security arrangements and availability of fire tenders, the SSP said that a fool proof security plan has been framed for the smooth and safe conduct of Yatra.
The Executive Engineer, JPDCL was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply at SakrootMandir and Sarthal Devi jiBhawan during Yatra time, while XEn PHE was directed to make available uninterrupted water Supply at Bhawan, besides provide water Tanker facility during Yatra.
Furthermore, the Municipal and KDA authorities were instructed to install high mast lights at appropriate places around GouriShankerMandir and in the streets of Kishtwar town to ensure effective security of Yatries.
Regarding the sanitation and Cleanliness during the Yatra, the DPO was directed to install temporary toilets at the Sri Sarthal Devi JiBhawan well before the commencement of Yatra.
The CEO Municipality was directed to ensure proper sanitation, Cleanliness in and around the Gouri Shankar MandirKishtwar including lime-lining of lanes and drains from the Bus stand to the Temple.
The ACD was instructed to cleanliness at the Sarthal Devi JiBhawan and install Dust Bins at the Shrine.
Directions were given to TehsildarKishtwar and BDO Trigam for laying special stress on the strict imposition of Ban on single-use Polythene bags in the shrine area in particular and in the district Kishtwar in general.
The ARTO informed the meeting that sufficient Vehicles have been kept on stand-by for hassle free movement of pilgrims during Yatra.
The ADDC asked the officers of line department to work in coordination for smooth conduct of Yatra and ensure adequate facilities for the devotees.
