Padder based SHG-The Umeed Paddary Craft Cooperative Ltd provided Registration Certificate

Kishtwar : Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar Sham Lal Friday handed over Registration Certificate to the members of a Padder based Self Help Group -The UmeedPaddary Craft Cooperative Ltd.
The Newly formed cooperative “The UmeedPaddary Craft Cooperative Ltd.” aims to promote the craft and craftsmen of Paddar area by providing them market linkage and upgrade the skills for better returns of their products.
On the occasion, the Additional District Development Commissioner also interacted with the SHG members and gave them insightful suggestions specific to their trade and craftsmanship.
Highlighting the role of the Cooperative Societies in generating employment opportunities, the ADDC said that the need of the hour was to make the unemployed educated youth and women folk of society in specific aware about the flagship employment schemes of the Government under the UMEED scheme rolled out under JKRLM initiative in the J&K.
He exhorted upon the women folk and the Educated & Talented youth to come forward and avail benefits of such schemes and establish their cooperative societies and be part of the economic growth of the District.
Among others, officials of Cooperative Department Kishtwar, JKRLM officials and Umeed SHG members were also present on the occasion.
