DC Kulgam reviews Eid-ul-Adha arrangements

K’gam :The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Friday convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements put in place for the upcoming festive occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
During the meeting, the DC directed officers of Jal Shakti and KPDCL to ensure smooth supply of water and electricity across the district. He also directed the Jal Shakti department to press water tankers in required areas and ensure no shortage of water at any place.
The District Sheep Husbandry Officer informed the chair that adequate numbers of sacrificial animals (Goats/Sheeps) are available in the district.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer informed the meeting that adequate numbers of poultry birds are available in the district.
Instructions were passed by the DC to constitute joint market checking teams to intensify market checking to check the quality of food items such as Bakery, Confectionery, Milk, Meat Chicken, Vegetables and other essentials in the market and ensure availability of quality products.
The DC directed AD, FCS&CA to ensure that the process of Ration distribution is completed before Eid so that people do not face any difficulty in this regard.
Municipal authorities were directed to ensure proper sanitation in towns, mosques and eidgahs. They were also directed to repair defunct lights in town if any.
EOs were directed to identify places for proper disposal of offal and to inform people regarding the same.
On the occasion, the Traffic police authorities were asked to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
The meeting was attended by ADC, SDM-Noorabad, ACR, CMO, DSP-HQ, ARTO, CAHO, DSHO, AD FCS&CA, Tehsildars, EOs, and other officers.
