DC Budgam calls for fool-proof, hassle-free delivery of online services to public

B’gam :The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Friday chaired a meeting of officers to review the delivery of online services to the general public through various offices.
At the outset, the DC exhorted upon all concerned officers that as many as 184 services have to be delivered through online mode under the directions from the J&K Administration.
The services include issuance of marriage certificates, domicile, scholarships, ISSS, age certificate, ST, SC and other category, character certificates, NOCs for commercial establishments, migration, timber sale depot, bandsaw, joinery, income certificates, death and birth certificates, corrections in death and birth certificates, municipal limits certificate, ladlibeti, fair price shop, wholesale fertilizer and other certificates, NOCs and registrations and other services pertaining to Revenue, Social Welfare, Agriculture, Horticulture, Municipality, Jal Shakti, PDD, RDD, R&B and other departments.
DC instructed concerned to stop offline services and ensure all these services are provided to the general public through online mode.
Emphasizing on stopping offline services, the DC instructed concerned to ensure development of required Portals on war footing and ensure services are delivered to the general public online.
The DC exhorted upon to create awareness about online services and instructed officers to place information boards of the same outside their offices to ensure prompt and hassle-free delivery of services.
He said that numberdars and chowkidars should also be invoked for awareness.
In order to ensure fool-proof functioning of online services, the DC directed Tehsildars to visit and inspect various offices in their respective tehsil areas for firsthand appraisal and on spot inspection.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Budgam, CMO, CEO and all District and Sectoral officers of concerned departments.
