Shaheed Mehran Memorial tournament concludes at Agsi

Reasi :Shaheed Mehran Memorial tournament concluded Thursday here at Agsi.
The tournament was organised by Shabir Ahmed Gehdarmat with active coordination of Sub-District Administration Mahore, JKP Mahore, ZEPO Mahore and PRIs of Block Gulabgarh.
In the final match MCC Bagga batted first and scored 209 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 Overs in response to which RCC Ladh could manage to score just 150 for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted Overs.
SDM Mahore, Mazahir Hussain Shah, participated as Chief Guest and SDPO Mahore, Chhabail Singh Bhau was guest of honour.
ZPEO Mahore, Doctor Amjad Bhat from CHC Mahore and other officials, besides a huge gathering of locals, PRIs and students from local institutions were present.
The Organizing committee thanked the District Administration Reasi to allow Organization of such a tournament in this historical and scenic place.
Locals also highlighted demands before the SDM Mahore like construction of road from Pagyala to Agsi,Mobile connectivity in Agsi,bringing Agsi and adjoining areas on the map of tourism,water connections and electricity connections for Agsi area beside other demands.
Later Prize distribution ceremony was held in which prizes were presented among the players, Umpires and other associated officials.
It is pertinent to mention here that the winner team of the tournament was awarded with a trophy and cash prize of Rs 25000 and runner up team bagged a cash prize of Rs 15000, besides Player of the match and Players of the tournament were also suitably rewarded.
Locals also demanded permission to organise another tournament and a cultural event at Agsi after monsoons to which SDM Mahore agreed in principle.
