37 New Pension Payment Orders issued by Jammu EPFO in June-2022

147 PPOs released by two wings of J&K

Jammu:Pension is one of the most relevant forms of social security for employees and their family members in times of need and eventualities. EPFO Regional Office, Jammu has initiated the process of settlement of Pension claims from the offices of Jammu and Kashmir itself. In some of the cases pension is being disbursed to widow and family members of even such members in respect of whom Pension contribution equivalent to one month pension has been remitted by Employer.
Towards this, the Office has settled total 37 pension claims in Jammu with initial arrear amount Rs. 20,83,265/-in the month of June, 2022.
Pension claims were settled in r/o Late Bhushan Singh –Raja Rani (widow), and Tania (daughter) with the monthly pension amount respectively being Rs. 2046/ and Rs. 512/-.Pension claim has also been settled in r/o Late Deshraj – Gita Devi (Widow), Sanju Sharma (Son) and Priya Sharma (Daughter) with monthly pension amount being Rs. 1791, Rs. 448, Rs. 448/.Apart from family pension, the office has also settled several superannuation pension claims in which members get a minimum pension of Rs. 1000/-.
In this context, it is pertinent to mention that the monthly pension is available to members if they have ten or more years of service under Employees’ Pension Scheme 1995 in one or more establishment(s). The eligible members may avail Superannuation Pension by applying online claim through their UAN Login after attainment of 58 years of age. Provision of monthly pension is also available to the family of EPS members in case of unfortunate demise of an EPS member while in service. The family member(s) may avail monthly pension by applying an offline claim through the employer of the deceased member.
All the Pensioners, who visited EPFO, Jammu expressed their pleasure and appreciated the efforts made to team EPFO, Jammu in disbursing their monthly pension and arrears before close of month -June, 2022
