Srinagar: Body of a 17-year-old boy was recovered from a pound in Rajwara area of Handwara in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district in on Monday, a day after he was drowned.
An official said that the operation was resumed and rescuers managed to fish out the body of the boy who drowned in the pound yesterday afternoon.
Identifying the deceased as Altaf Ahmad, son of Mohd Shafi a resident of resident of Watsar, the official said that after legal medical formalities the body was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
Meanwhile, in an incident, a teenage boy was died after falling into a well in Kralpora area of the district.
Officials said that the boy identified as Bilal Ahmad son of Abdul Ahad, a resident of Kralpora fell into an open well following which a rescue operation was launched and unfortunately his body was recovered
